I have a cluter including a few hosts(version Esxi 6.5) .
In one host of cluter ,I have found that messages "sfcb-vmware_raw{XXXXX]" show in /var/log/syslog.log repeatly. Also ,files such as localcli-zdump.000,sfcb_vmware_bas-zdump.00X and sfcb_vmware_raw-zdump.00X having been generated under /var/core.
Who knows what happen? Is it a bug?

We are running VMware ESXi 6.5.0 (build 4887370). We had a virtual machine that had two virtual disks attached to it -- one that was 100 GB and one that was 1 TB.
We started to get low on disk space on the host, so I deleted the 1 TB drive. I verified that the drive no longer shows within the configuration, and also that it does not show as a drive within Windows any longer. I also made sure all snapshots were deleted and consolidated disks.
However, we are not getting the free space back. Our available space went up a bit, but not nearly by the amount it should. Also, if I browse the datastore, it still shows a virtual disk file of 805.54 GB, which does not match the size of either of the virtual disks actually.
Any suggestions on how I can address this would be most appreciated.

Is anyone aware of how to restore to standard switch (DCUI) via command line? I've traced various log files while executing it via the console but did not leave me many clues to work off of.
We have hundreds of boxes we need to do it for and would like to build some automation around it. (fwiw, tried leveraging host profiles to no avail...)

Very relevant question to me - can or can not Guest work with QinQ traffic? I looked over all the Internet, have read tons of articles. The answer is only one - You can't, even in VTG mode such traffic is dropped. There is one solution with changing ethertype, but it is too complex to realize. But life is strange and full of suprises. So

Currently we a running standalone configuration of StarWind Software with iSCSI Datastore on 2 hosts (1 storage host connected to 2 ESXi host via iSCSI)
We faced an issue:
Existing datastores are missing volumes after several reboots, all iSCSI paths are connected and devices is showing properly.
partedUtil getptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/<device-name>
Shows that partition is fine.
However esxcfg-volumes -l shows us nothing. Apparently, datastore is a missing a volume.
We cant browse a datastore and it not appearing in datastores tab.
And the question is how to restore a volume without a data loss? Is there any chance to restore the data from that partition or move it.
Appreciate for any assistance.

I have already read about how to enable the intel VT-x in the Bios which I have done already. I can open Vsphere (5.5) client just fine. It only happens when I try to open the host. I have checked and double checked my bios. I'm thinking there may be something in the client that I need to turn on. My Bios is updated too.
I am using a hp compaq 6200 pro with an intel for my hardware. My vsphere esxi has its own server though.
Can someone tell me if there is something hidden that I am missing to get this error to go away?

Using ESXi u3 on supermicro H12SSW-NT board w/EPYC 2 CPU. SVM is enabled in the BIOS. I have Seagate NVMe drives installed which are detected. Why can I not enable passthrough?
I'm using a free version serial. Does that prevent passthrough?
I'm posting this so others might not have to spend hours on the line with support figuring this out.
My environment is older and has the Emulex LPe11000 hba cards. This card isn't discovered oob.
Obviously a problem right. After spending hours on the phone with VMWare support they pointed me to Emulex.
The issue really is that some of VMWare's support personnel don't know where they keep all the VIB files for their OS.
I was able to find the attached VIB here. Import this and apply it and your Emulex card will start working and you can take your hosts up to ESXi 6.
We are troubleshooting an issue where our VMs are hanging for 5-10 seconds every time our datastores disconnect and reconnect.
The load on the server is minimal with a little bit of I/O. The disconnections happen every 23 minutes whether there is a lot of IO or not.
There are three datastores. If all guest VMs are powered off except for one VM which only has VMDK files on ONE datastore, the controller will still show large IO spikes, however it may not fully reset all datastores. During business hours or at night during backups where there is constant RW operations going on, the datastores will always reset and come back. We are receiving some application errors due to this in one of our databases.

As mentioned above, this happens EVERY 23 minutes.

A reboot occurred.
I saw all the logs, but only after startup.
Is there a problem with this version that suddenly restarts?
I built a virtual machine in ESXI 6.5, a Windows 7 system, and tried to use the Nvidia K1 graphics card, but it never worked.Look up all sorts of data on the net, still be not successful.
Win7 video card driver is installed, the system can also be recognized, but in the execution of dxdiag can not see the video card information, do not know where the problem is.

I have created a new Windows 10 64b as a VM under a ESXi 6.7. I assigned 1 Tb disk with thin provisioned under a VMFS6 datastore.
But the VM occupies 1Tb in the datastore instead 10Gb of real space used (as if it was thick instead thin)
Do windows 10 support thin provisioned? I did something wrong of forget anything? How can I solve this?

In a small company there is a server Dell with installed an ESXi 6.7 Free Version.
It is a standalone server without connections to other servers and without other VMWare software.
There are 4 VMs: an old Win Server 2003; a Win Server 2016; a Win 10 Pro PC and an Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS.
A UPS must be connected to manage the controlled shutdown.
The budget is limited and we are oriented towards APC Smart-UPS 1000/1500 VA.
It must support the Dell server, a PC, a switch and a small NAS Qnap. Obviously only for the time necessary to switch off everything (about 10/15 minutes).
For the management I wanted to propose NUT because Open Source, but I can't find one of its clients for ESXi 6.5, only for the previous versions.
Can I trust installing it or is there any other open source software?

It sould be the same as inserting/removing a usb stick but then for an CI environment

USBメモリ(またはUSB HDD)を外付けとして認識させようとしても、正しく認識されず困っています。
以下の内容でデバイスとして認識できているようですが、
/dev/disks配下には該当する情報が出てきません。
