Running esxi 7.0b on Mac Mini = buggy?

Hi all,

I wonder if I recently found one or more a bug or if it's already known? I run a Mac Mini, late 2014 model, with VMWare ESXi 7.0.0 (Build 16324942). The browser is Chrome version 85.0.4183.102. I started using/trying ESXi yesterday, so I don't know what would be the correct way to report this.

  1. If I finish the guide for setting up a new VM, and I want to edit the VM to connect the virtual CD/DVD Optical drive. However, when I select the drive and add the checkmark in the "Connect" box (as seen in the screen capture below), and save, the config is not saved.

    2. If I add something else, it is saved.
  2. Not sure if this is a bug of it's own or connected to the one above, but I'm unable to install the vmware tools. Whenever I click the button "Actions" --> "Guest OS" --> "Install VMware tools", nothing happens (yes, the VM is powered on). I assume that there should've been a disk inside the VM that should be mounted, but this does not happen.
