Hi NG,
we tried to configure a boot delay on two customer servers. The reason for this is, that without the delay the ESXi servers come up before the SAN, and ESXi cannot see datastores.
Thus VMs do not start automatically.
So far we used syslinux.cfg as described here:
We tried this on other servers (version 5.5 an version 6) without any problems.
The difference is, that on these servers, tested successfully, there was an /dev/sda4 partition that could be mounted, and there we could find the syslinux.cfg.
The servers that do not work do not have an /dev/sda4 but the syslinux.cfg is on /dev/sda1.
What is the reason for this ?
Does the partition matter, whether or not a boot delay works?
Is there any workaround?
