esxi 5.5 rollback to 5.1 not available at bootup

I am tyring to rollback a 5.5 installation update from 5.1 but shift + R on boot up does not give the 5.1 hypervisor

any idea? how do i get my 5.1 installation back?.

I did a direct upgrade using

esxcli software profile update for the upgrade
