How to upgrade vMA from CD?

Hello,

I'd like to upgrade existing vMA 5.0.0.2 to 5.0.0.3 offline. I have to stick to this version and currently no internet connection is available.

I have already downloaded the patch repository pack for EP1 but I do not have a web server to publish.

I don't know if (and how) vMA's lightthpd can be used to publish the repo so I wanted to upgrade vMA via a CD but vMA reports there is no update on the CD.

I have tried both extracting and leaving the tar.gz untouched and using Folder2ISO to create a CD image with no success.

How can I upgrade vMA from CD?
