my boot usb stick with esxi 6.7.8169922 got corrupted recently so i'm needing to create a new esxi 6.7.8169922 or 7.0 usb stick for install.
there are 4 SSD disks in the server with a few VM's on each plus 1 SSD for esxi-cache.
i know the esxi 6.7.8169922.iso will install itself on the usb stick, but will it automatically attempt to partition/format any connected SSD drives
in the server too? i.e., should i disconnect them while i install the the ESXi usb. after that install, shutdown server, reconnect SSD drives, reboot ESXi install
and then add those drives to ESXi?
