I've read the documentation on
- Davis, D. (June, 2015). White Paper:VMware ESXi in a Cloud-based Lab David Davis, VCP, VCAP, and vExpert. https://www.skytap.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/VMwareESXi_Cloud-based_Lab_WhitePaper.pdf (Links to an external site.)
- ESXI Public Templates: https://help.skytap.com/ESXi_Public_Template.html
It appears there used to be templates for ESXI in SkyTap, but for version 5.
Those templates are no longer available.
I am looking to do exactly what they had, but with the current version of ESXI. At least, replicating version 5 could be an alternate option.
I have not found videos that address running ESXI on SkyTap. I was told it was possible if I create an empty Linux templates and an ESXi ISO and then enabling nested virtualization on your new ESXi VM. However, how do I get the ESXI installed if the VM is an empty template with an Ubuntu VM?
