I have a VMware vSphere 6.5 infastructure with ESXi 6.5 hosts.
All the datastores are accessed via iSCSI.
For business related issues I need to create snapshots of dozens of VMs at the same time and keep them for 2 or 4 days.
I see that when an elevated number of snapshots is present VMFS performance decrease dramatically.
Can I say that there is a relationship between the presence of snapshots and VMFS performance degradation?
If so, how can I mitigate the problem?
I see from forums that it is possibile to place snapshots on diffferent datastores: can it be a solution for my performance issues?
Which criteria should I consider while placing snapshots on different datastores?
