I wonder if someone can help please. At my place of work we have an ESXi4.1 vCentre, with about 60 hosts at various remote sites. We've recently experienced a hard disk error in one of the hosts, (part of a RAID1 pair), so in order to resolve this and keep the site up and running we've added a new temporary host, powered it up at the site, and connected it via crossover cable to the host with the faulty disk. This should mean we can Migrate the VMs from the original host to the temporary one. (We had to do this before at another site and it worked fine.)
Two of the five VMs have Migrated across, but the other three get some way before failing, saying, "The task was canceled by a user". Validation is successful in the Migration steps, so is there anywhere I can look to see why these are failing?
