ESXI 4 VM tools Help

Hi There,

Im a bit new to VMware but need some help...

The issue I have is I need tup upgrade the VM ware tools on the ESXI 4 hosts but cannot upgrade the ESXI versions due the existing hardware. We have a different architecture for and will not be able to v motion so upgrading to esxi 5 is a no go at the moment..

Can I install the latest tools on the esxi4 VM or doe it have differences in  the tools for the hardware  (Ie version 7 and 8)
