This is my first post and I am attempting to build a home lab which is proving to be very painful. So I am hoping you guys can help me out please.
I am using VMware WS 14 pro fully licensed inside my Linux mint server. I have an esxi 6.7 VM installed with a static IP of 192.168.1.9/24 and when I log onto the ssh console of the esxi host I can ping google and 8.8.8.8 successfully. So all working fine.
Bearing in mind I have not touched any networking within the esxi host other than changing the static IP, when I spin up a new VM be it Linux or Windows I cannot get either of them to ping past the esxi host.
It can successfully ping 192.168.1.9 but nothing past that at all. Not google, not my ISP router inside my house. Nothing.
I've set the VM's to static IP's and dhcp but still nothing works and I am seriously running out of ideas.
BTW, I have disabled all firewalls within my network apart from the ISP router of course!
Any help would be greatly appreciated please please please!
