Happy Monday folks! I'm pretty sure I just corrupted 20hrs of work on my webserver. So I went live with my site today, and when I was satisfied with how it was working I decided to take a snapshot of the VM for recovery purpouses. I ran the snapshot from vsphere and walked away. What happend I think the snapshot was larger than my vdisk allowed and it filled it up. Below is the first error that I got when I realized my mistake. I saved my snapshot back to the virtual disk insted of my desinated recovery drive. Now my webserver wont boot and it's stuck at: error: failure reading sector 0x7ba100 from 'hd0' . grub rescue>_ So this looks like it cannot read from my disk and that its corrupted since the vdisk coulding sink up with the snapshot that it was in the middle of taking when it crashed. I'm thinking im hosed. Any thoughts ?
