Just to cllear my query on recertifying.. Below given FAQ's was given in VMware certifications FAQ's link.

It says those who did VCP5-DCV post March 10 2013 are not required to do recertify now.
I have completed my VCP5-DCV on 28th November 2013 , if am correct am now not required to do recertify exam.
Am planning to attend VCAP5-DCA exam, so here i can directly go for VCAP5-DCA right but not recertify exam .
