I'm in the process of updating my home environment (HP Microserver N40L running esxi 6.0 u3) and was after suggestions for a RAID card that will enable RAID 5.
I have the server populated with 4 drives running stand-alone. One of the drives is on it's way out - so I'm in the process of swapping them all to WD40EFRX units (Western Digital 4TB RED drives). I'd like to rebuild the box and put all of the drives into a hardware RAID5 to simplify ongoing management (one drive dies, replace it with an equivalent unit)
Suggestions for suitable RAID cards to use? Need something low profile that will support RAID5 via hardware, be recognised via ESXI (running 6.0 u3). Given it's a home setup, after something I can source cheaply (ideally >$100 AUD) from Australia
