Hi,
I was in the process of moving some of our old VMs from one server's local datastore to a QNAP datastore. The process appears to have failed as it moved everything but the vmdk's and flat files that were the secondary hard drives of 2 VMs. The crazy part is that now the datastore just shows as blank, no files, no folders on it, 2.0TB of 2.0TB free. When I browse the datastore using SSH it also appears blank. Of course I we don't have a backup of the VM as it was an old archive that fell through the cracks.
I don't know why the datastore is blank. Other times when I have cancelled a move or there have been errors, the source file is still in it's original location.
Is there any way to scan the datastore and recover the missing files?
This is on ESXi 4.1.0 version 260247. The server is a Dell PowerEdge 2900 with a datastore on local disks.
