Hello
I'm having a problem expanding a datastore on Esxi 6.5 Update 1 build 7388607 that lives on a Synology NAS. After running through the wizard to expand the datastore, I get an error "Failed to expand VMFS datastore ServerDatastore - Cannot change the host configuration."
Here are the steps I took and what I've seen happen so far:
On the Synology, I expanded the iSCSI LUN into some unused disk space. (Originally expanded 1TB, for screenshots 1GB)
On Esxi, I rescanned the HBA
I went into the existing datastore and clicked Increase Capacity
I ran through the wizard, as seen below. I originally tried to add about 1TB to the datastore. That failed with the same errors as in the screenshots. Once I get through the wizard and see the error, I'm no longer able to go through the wizard without first increasing the size of the LUN on the Synology. That's why I'm trying to increase by only 1GB, it's the only way to get the wizard to run.
The vmkernel logs around the time I click finish say:

Has anyone seen something like this before? Any tips on what might fix it besides moving all the data off the LUN, deleting it and starting fresh?
Thanks!
