Please help ,I have a 1 TB datastore that has only 20 gigs of free space on it that I am worried will run out of space soon.
The space is all being used up by a specific server ,when i look at the virtual hard drives on that server they are only using about 600gb of data ,the disks are thin provisioned ,can anyone point me in the right direction of why I am getting this alert on my datastore.
If I do a restart of the server itself will that possibly bring the size of the datastore down and with only 20 GB of free space will the server come up again ok ,I read something about a large swap file being created when the server is powered on so I am afraid a restart will cause me a issue .
