Folks,
I need to migrate Virtual machine with physical RDM from esxi 5.1 to 6.0 (both are residing in same cluster)
Whether the below steps will work or not to migrate server from host1 to host2.
- Power off the machine1
- Remove the server from inventory which is on esx 5.1 (host1) . Physical RDMs still attached in the machine1
- Go to esxi 6.1 (host2) and browse the datastore and locate the machine1
- select .vmx and add the inventory
- Power on the machine1.
