Hello Community !!!
I 'm kind of new in this Vmware world and i have a couple of questions regarding redundant configurations. I have a client that is working with Vmware Esxi5, they have an array that manages certain type of redundancy (raid levels), this array i used to create the datastores. They are planning to move a service from Windows to Linux and they want some kind of redundancy.
In the past they have had some cases where they have found some faulty virtual disks, and they have created new ones and added to their windows server.
What's the best practice that you could recommend in this case to keep data redundancy on Linux?. I was thinking about LVM, as a good way to expand easily the linux directory, but how about redundancy, i know that i can create a software raid with mdadm and create a LVM on top of it.
I'm trying to understand what will be a good action plan if a virtual disks gets faulty or corrupted
Thanks in advance
