Browsing to URL from Host getting "This site cannot be reached"

From from host ip 192.168.1.103.

• able to ping the vmmachine > 192.168.1.109
• not able to browse to http://192.168.1.109:8000

On vmmachine

• can ping > 192.168.1.103
• able to browse http://192.168.1.109:8000

I am using Network Connection: Bridged (Automatic)

Windows Network Diagnostics

• resource (192.168.1.109) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts.
