so we have our datastore become full and stopped the one main server vm from running. in haste i deleted the 00001.vmdk file and now that the server boots up with errors and crashes. - thats not my big issue, the big issue what we had setup years ago was 2 1.5tb vmdk as storage for the server, well looks like veeam caused the snapshot to fill up (our first time using veeam) and now i have the xxxxx-0000001.vdmk and the xxxxx.vmdk (on both of the storage vmdk) - is there a way to merge these? we have no back vmback ups - thats why i was using veeam to test to see if we liked it. and finally get with the times. esxi 6 is what we are using.
hopefully this is somewhat clear? basically looking to see how to merge a 00001 and the orginal vmdk together that doesnt have a vmx file
