I am looking to purchase a monster dell power edge R910 Rack server with 4x E7 10 core processors and 256gb of ram among other bits but I have noticed it’s not on VMware compatibility list for version 6.5u1 it’s only compatible with version 6u3.? Would it still work on version 6.5u1 Orr not? As I’ve noticed some people say ibm servers aren’t on the list but they still work?
Also so as i have licenses for version 6.5u1 can I still use a lower version with that higher version on vcsa? Like for eg if my vcsa is 6.5u1 can I have the dell r910 at version 6u3? How can I get a license for an older version.
