Investigating my VMware syslogs I keep finding these strange error messages, but I can't find any information about them at all in the VMware KB or on Google in general:
Mar 11 07:47:41 fe-vmware-06.####.net <daemon.err> sfcb-vmware_raw[10181]: IpmiIfcRhFruInv: Reading FRU header for 0xd FAILED cc=0xc3 Mar 11 07:50:03 fe-vmware-07.####.net <daemon.err> sfcb-vmware_raw[10165]: IpmiIfcRhFruInv: Reading FRU header for 0xd FAILED cc=0xc3 Mar 11 07:51:17 fe-vmware-08.####.net <daemon.err> sfcb-vmware_raw[10147]: IpmiIfcRhFruInv: Reading FRU header for 0xd FAILED cc=0xc3
The only mention I can find on this type of message is in KB 2107493 where it just happens to occur. (Not the topic of that KB)
All of our hosts emit about 44 of these messages per day and I just want to know if they are a symptom of a problem, if they can be ignored or perhaps even eliminated.
In case it matters, these are Dell R620 hosts fitted with DRAC adapters but AFAIK there is no integration with these in our vCenter.
