Hello,
We are running VMware ESXi 6.0 U2 and have installed SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (SP3) on a VM. The VMware Tools on this VM were running and we wanted to re-install it while troubleshooting some GUI issues on this VM.
While re-installing now it is not going further then below option,
===========================================
Creating a new initrd boot image for the kernel.
Kernel image: /boot/vmlinuz-3.0.76-0.11-default
Initrd image: /boot/initrd-3.0.76-0.11-default
===========================================
It is just stuck there and not getting completed.
Can someone guide on the reason why it is not going further an how can we install the VMware tools on the VM successfully.
Also please guide, is it safe to stop the installation and just restart the VM and start a fresh installation of VMware tools ? Will the VM boot correctly in this case ?
Regards,
K
