ESXi 6.5 - Used cli to add a port group fine, however the web ui or vcenter web ui doesn't show port group

Hi all, on Esxi 6.0/6.5 I used the following cli fine, and esxcfg-vswitch -l show everything was added correctly.  However the web ui from the esxi host or vcenter web ui doesn't show the port group.  Could some one help me with this without rebooting the esxi host.

   esxcfg-vswitch -A VLAN_100 vSwitch0

   esxcfg-vswitch vSwitch0 -v 100 -p VLAN_100
