I'm testing this out right now on one of our servers thats historically had a lot of read latency. it's a very old file server running some very badly coded applications. I've got a SanDisk SX350 configured and added as the cache (400 gb's of it's 6.4TB total), in Vsphere 6.0 Update2. The VMDK I'm using the vFRC for is a 1.5TB file store with user files and large number of pictures on a server 03 R2 box. Looking at this the results I got from vscsistats I'm thinking I'll be wanting to use the 4k option, and a 300gb cache setting for this vmdk? It seems like a lot to me, but every thing I've seen so far says it should be set at around 20%.

And I'm just wondering what do I use to look at the performance metrics for this? I'm not really coming up with a good answer in my searches. The boss man wants something graphical, and I was hoping to pull something from Ops Manager but not having much luck (though to be honest I haven't looked that hard yet).
Anyone have any tips or tricks for fine tuning this thing? I have a feeling I'm going to be asked to look into this for some of our older SQL servers before to long.
Also, looking at the performance metrics for the SX350 card in their iosphere software, it looks like it's doing a lot more writes than anything else?
