VXLAN user packet is duplicated on the Receivers end. Packet is sent between VMs

Hello All,

I am using vSPehere (ESX/ESXi 4.0 and later (VM version 7) and am supposed to encapsulate a give packet with the VXLAN header and send it towards the other VM which will be listening for such packets.

The destination port for the VXLAN header is user configurable and can be anything.

pcap capture on the receiving end I see the original packet and a duplicate of the original.

I am sending these packets on private network.

There is no NSX installed on the VM.

Any help is appreciated.
