We have an ESXi 4.1 host (HP ProLiant DL180 G6) that is not connected to a vCenter.
When we go to Configuration -> Health Status, no sensors or monitoring show up there.
We confirmed with HP that this server has the correct sensors to display this information. And we installed the HP iso of 4.1 which auto installs their management agent. We also confirmed the agent was installed.
But still the health Status simply says the server name and displays no other information.
I have seen a lot of topics on this in the forums but it all seemed to be related to hosts connected via vCenter.
