Hi ,

Our ESXi host (version 5.5U3) last week encountered a PSOD, below is snapshot.   It strenage that not generated coredump file which /var/core dir is empty.

This host is new build and not upgraded from old esxi version. also  I run below command in ESXi ssh which show that our coredump partition (2.5G)is configured and actived

# esxcli system coredump partition list ( 2.5GB , not 110M)

# esxcli system  coredump file list ( Is empty)

from psod snapshot, we can juade that is exception 14 error  at the begainng of the PSOD .

we also see that coredmup to disk . slot 1 of 1  in the end of psod . but not see successfully.

So I want to  know if exception 14 will not generate couredump file or some other reasons caused this issue.

or if we can found root cause which caused PSOD ?

look farword your kindly reply. thanks very much.
